Intro to the AR Platform

Just got that new “Black Rifle” and want to learn how to use it? This class will help with that. In this beginner level class, we will go over the types, styles, uses, function and manipulation of the AR Rifle. We will teach you how to zero and how to be effective and safe with your firearm. You will learn how to field strip it for cleaning and maintenance, and we will talk about gadgets (sights, dots, slings, lights, and all the little things that we find helpful when owning these firearms). This class comes with a certificate of completion from STS.

Duration 8hrs Price $175 Location - varies 1hr lunch break

Bring - AR style rifle chambered in .223 /5.56 and attachments, optic such as red dot is encouraged (however iron sights have worked for centuries), 2 mags minimum (more is better), 300-400 rounds, eye and ear protection, snacks and H20

Rifle skill builder

This class is where we push past the basic rifle manipulation and start training towards standards of proficiency. We will focus on clearing stoppages, reloading, rapid presentation, shooting from multiple positions, moving with the rifle and engaging targets while moving. This class is for someone who knows how the gun works but desires formal training to increase skill sets and be more proficient with the weapon system. It’s also a lot of fun to see what you can do with some training and practice.

Some people have written off the shotgun as outdated and have stuck their old “pump sticks” in the closet. I still love them. While a little old school, we think it’s still a viable and effective weapon system for home defense when in trained hands. Drones are becoming a more common issue on the battlefield and domestically, lets see what it takes to bring them down. This course will get you loving shotguns again. We will review fundamentals and explore tactics and build new skills.
